Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVE KATHMANDU ( LUNCH, DINNER)

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, meet and greet.
Transfer out for lunch at good Local Restaurant.
Tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square ,Golden Gate, Palace with 55 windows, 5 storied Nyatapola
temple and Pottery Square.
1800 hrs Transfer for dinner at good Local Restaurant.
Check in at your pre booked Hotel. Overnight in the Hotel..

Day 2PARO-THIMPU

Breakfast in the Hotel.
Transfer to the airport for flight to Paro, Bhutan. Druk Air flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flight. Whether flying along the Himalayan range over the foothills, each flight is a mesmerizing feat and offers exciting descent into the Kingdom. On arrival at the airport you will be accorded a very warm reception by our representative and transfer to the Restaurant for lunch.
After lunch visit the National Museum, Rinpung Dzong which was built in 1645 AD. The drive to Thimpu
for overnight stay.

Day 3THIMPU- WANGDUE- PUNAKHA (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

Breakfast in the Hotel.
Morning tour in Thimpu covers National Memorial Chorten, Traditional Medicine Institute, National Library, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, School of 13 Arts and crafts, Takin mini Zoo, Zilukha Nunnery,Post office for stamps, Traditional paper factory, visit Handicrafts Emporium which displays wide assortment of beautifully hand woven and crafted products and also Textile Museum.
Drive to Punakha for 2 and half hours. On the way stop at Do Chula Pass(3050 m) for tea/coffee and enjoy our first view of the eastern Himalayan Mountains. Here we spend sometime photographing the Druk Wangyal Chortens. Then on to Wangduephodrang. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley who as the famous saint of the Bhutanese people is known affectionately as “Divine Mad Monk”. Then continue with drive to Punakha and check in at Hotel. Punakha was former capital of Bhutan.

Day 4PUNAKHA- PARO (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

After breakfast drive to north of Punakha for a short excursion to Khamsum Yeulley Namgyel Chorten. Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten stands majestically on a strategic ridge above the Punakha valley.
After Lunch visit Punakha Dzong, which lies between two rivers known as Phochu and Mochu, symbolizing the masculine and the feminine co-existence their currents are of different colours and they unite at this point.
Then drive to Paro for overnight stay.

Day 5PARO (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

After early breakfast in the Hotel start the excursion to Taktshang Monastery perched giddily on a rockyledge, with a waterfall cascading as if from the blue. Taktshang means Tiger’s Nest. Guru Padmasambhava, known as the second Buddha, alighted from flying tigress and meditated at this shrine in the second half of the 8th century. As a result it is the dream destination for Buddhist pilgrims from theworld over.
Afternoon visit Kychu temple which dates back to the 7th century. Kyichu temple is one of the last three surviving temples. In the 7th century 108 such temples were built by a Tibetan King. To date only three have survived , two in Bhutan and one in Tibet, known as the Jokhang. Visit a Bhutanese farm house to see how Bhutanese farmer lives. Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 6PARO- KATHMANDU (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight back to Kathmandu.
Arrive Kathmandu, transfer out for lunch at Local Restaurant.
Tour of Boudhanath Stupa, The Stupa is one of the important pilgrims for Buddhists. The Stupa is surrounded by one hundred and eight small niches accommodating the icons of Buddhas, Bodhisatavas and other female deities. The serene environment in the surrounding of the Stupa has added to its attractions. Listed in the UNESCO’s world heritage site, the huge sized stupa is one of the prime sites for tourists and pilgrims.
1600 hrs Transfer to Thamel street for last minute shopping.
1800 hrs Transfer for dinner with Nepali cultural show at Local Restaurant.
Check in at your pre booked Hotel. Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 7DEPARTURE (BREAKFAST)

Breakfast in the Hotel.
Transfer to the airport for flight back home.
